This brings the recent commits from 5.x into 6.x.
The workflow and oauth changes are completely discarded as 6.x has its own equivalents. (Workflow already in, OAuth coming shortly).
Doing this merge now mainly so that 6.x has the Guzzle fixes so the test suite can continue passing.
